Metal Processing Group MPG U.S. (also referred to as the US Wire Group) is the parent of three independent companies (five manufacturing facilities) which produce steel wire and strand related products that serve many industries. Products are marketed domestically through a direct sales force, manufacturer's representatives, and an established network of independent distributors. Position Summary

Located in Warrenville, IL, the Financial Planning Analyst supports the MPG's Platform's CFO with FP&A initiatives and solutions, identifies, develops, and analyzes relevant data sets, and prepares custom and standard reports. In addition, they are responsible for:

  • Under the CFO’s guidance prepares reporting and analytics meant to provide management with the information needed to make financial business decisions.
  • Participates in consolidating MPG's annual plan, monthly results, forecast requirements, and related reporting to Heico corporate accounting; assists with the monthly close-related activities.
  • Analyzes and interprets financial plans, budgets, tax returns, profit and loss statements, and other financial documents as assigned by the CFO.
  • Collaborates with business unit finance teams in analyzing variances from planned and forecasted results; informs CFO about any inconsistencies or infractions.
  • Analyzes monthly results and provides feedback to the business unit finance teams on key variances relating to sales volume, price, mix, sales reserves, rebates, discounts, and freight.
  • Assists CFO with creating and submitting monthly executive packages for senior Heico leadership. Calculates commissions as needed.
  • Utilizes Power Platform tools to build effective analysis. Develops Power BI reports and dashboards through various data sources. Willingness to become the Platform’s subject matter expert for Power BI.
  • Identifies opportunities for continual improvement through reporting and analysis.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis as requested.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting/analyst experience.
  • Exposure to Power BI. Willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • An exceptional work ethic and dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Experience working independently and as a part of a team.
  • Experience with implementing system improvements and processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP financial systems.
