Job Title: Sr. AP Specialist
Reports to: AP Associate Manager
Key Internal Partners: Finance, Operations (Plant + Purchasing Teams), all NYC HQ Functions (Sales, Quality/Regulatory, Marketing, HR, IT + R&D and Supply Chain)
Key External Partners: Banks, Auditors, Customers, Suppliers, and other Administrative contacts

Job Summary:
The Sr. AP Specialist role provides support and expertise across all operational aspects of the department and works regularly with NYC HQ departments and with our manufacturing plants in Traverse City, MI & Nampa, ID. As a senior member of the team, this role will be cross-trained and well versed in all areas of responsibility to ensure strong business continuity.
Job Responsibilities:
The Sr. AP Specialist will support all functions performed within the department, including:
- Process invoices and credits in a timely manner ensuring strong supplier relationships, both Factory and HQ (PO and Non-PO Invoices):
- Perform matching process with VIF + CORIM
- Process and obtain approvals for invoices
- Ensure expenses are accurately recorded in financial statements
- Monitor and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Support full lifecycle of banking/payment process
- Support/contribute to the cash forecasting process, act as lead when necessary
- Support Accounting + Finance teams during financial closing process; post journal entries as needed
- Calculate and record AP driven financial close entries (ex. INR)
- Participate in training new hires
- Ensure AP processes and procedures are followed
- Act as back up for T&E audit process as needed
- Support AMEX program management as needed
- Perform other additional accounting and AP related activities and participate in projects as needed
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
- Invoices are processed in a timely manner
- Timely communication and monitoring of discrepancies for quick resolution
- Accurate financial statements
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other related field
EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years of Accounting or AP experience in the manufacturing industry
- SAP S/4HANA experience preferred
SKILLS
- General Accounting knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive with strong time management skills, excellent organizational/follow up skills and the ability to work both independently and with a team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able work in normal office conditions.
- Must be able to work 8 hours per day and be on his/her feet for extended periods of time.
Salary range: $36 - $37.50 per hour.
Pay: $36.00 - $37.50 per hour
