Summary of Purpose: Perform office duties while providing the highest level of client services.
Duties (Essential Functions):
- Promptly and courteously answer telephones
- Respond to inquiries and schedule surgery appointments; ensure appropriate number of surgeries are scheduled per day
- Greet clients at the front desk
- Input data into clinic software
- Perform animal check-in/check-out procedures
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of office and public areas
- Sort and deliver mail
- Assist supervision of clinic volunteers in front office
- Other duties as assigned by SNIP Office Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Great interpersonal skills both in person and by phone with clients, staff and volunteers
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
- Demonstrated attention to detail; ability to process paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic computer knowledge
- Punctual and dependable
- Humane attitude toward animals
- Accept, support, and represent KHS core values, programs, policies and procedures
- Background Check Required
Physical Demands/Working Environment
- Frequent bending, reaching, feeling and or handling, kneeling, walking and standing on a regular basis while performing job functions
- Individual will have extended periods of sitting, talking and listening
- Occasionally lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to or exceeding 35 lbs.
- Includes working in an indoor desk environment as well as working with animals in a kennel/shelter setting (indoor/outdoor) with potential for exposure to allergens, zoonotic diseases, and cleaning chemicals
