Job Duties: Collaborate on breakthrough medical technologies that unite multiple subject areas to build a connected digital ecosystem that advances medical professionals' skills and improves patient outcomes. Support the team lead in implementing the framework and processes to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the complex Johnson & Johnson OTTAVA Robotic System within the R&D organization. Train and observe clinicians, key opinion leaders, and high-profile visitors interacting with the OTTAVA System. Operate the system during clinical labs, troubleshoot and resolve known issues, document novel issues that arise during system use, perform SW installation and smoke testing, and provide complex engineering test support for R&D applications. Set up, operate, maintain, and debug the system in clinical labs. Document issues that arise in clinical labs, and resolve by working across hardware, electrical, and software teams. Troubleshoot and repair issues that commonly arise across the R&D system fleet. Collaborate with software engineers to understand and modify existing code, and with mechanical/electrical engineers to upgrade hardware components. Maintain the configuration and records of all systems used for development and verification.
May telecommute. Up to 50% domestic travel required.
Qualifications
Requirements: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Systems Integration Engineer-related occupation.
