SalaryJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dentist with various procedures. Duties: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup - Conduct comprehensive oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients - Take and develop dental x-rays as required - Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, taking notes, and providing suction - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental records systems (Epic, Dentrix) - Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality - Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and attend continuing education courses as required Qualifications: - Valid Dental Hygiene license in [STATE] - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist preferred - Excellent knowledge of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and oral health conditions - Proficient in using dental software systems (Epic, Dentrix) for patient documentation - Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health practices - Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals - Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
