Job Description

Atlas Preservation, Inc is a Southington, CT-based retailer of high-quality preservation and restoration supplies. We are constantly expanding our inventory and collection to cater to a variety of preservation fields. Our products are used in many different applications such as construction, building, window work, cemetery and monument restoration, masonry, DIY projects and more. Our company is growing and we are looking for part time help, that could eventually turn into full time.

Job Duties

As a Shipping & Receiving Associate you will be responsible for shipping out customer orders efficiently, safely, and verifying the quality of the product before shipping out. You will also be responsible for verifying, sorting, and organizing incoming shipments. You will be responsible for following all safety procedures in the shipping area and your work will be monitored by a team member who will ensure that the orders are being fulfilled correctly and neatly.

Shipping & Receiving Job Responsibilities Include:

• Accurately prepare outgoing shipments according customer orders.
• Weigh, measure, and count items.
• Prepare and generate shipping labels.
• Assemble containers used for shipping.
• Follow proper packing and packaging procedures to ensure items are shipped safely.

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in a a retail setting preferred but not required
• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
