Law Firm Accounts Receivable/Payable, Data Entry and Billing Assistant

Minchella & Associates, LLC, a highly-regarded small firm, is looking for a full-time employee to perform its Accounts Receivable/Payable, Data Entry, and Billing duties.

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with and revising prebills; posting changes to the accounting system
• Preparing monthly client invoices for partner’s review using the firm’s billing software
• Sending monthly invoices through the firm’s billing software, mail or via various electronic billing platforms, in adherence with client and firm guidelines
• Researching and responding to billing issues, communicating with attorneys and staff to resolve issues
• Contacting clients regarding outstanding balances and replenishing trust accounts
• Acting as the firm’s liaison with its CPA and outside bookkeeper
• Reviewing, recording and processing incoming payments and invoices in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures
• Performing other duties and projects as assigned

Experience working in a Law Firm is required. Experience with electronic billing using LEDES 1998b and cloud based accounting platforms is not necessary, but a plus.
