Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Service Application Engineer, Strategic and Data Center Accounts.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $94562.64 - $138691.87 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
This position primarily supports proposal needs for medium, large and/or complex projects pertaining to Eaton related services and solutions for Strategic and Data Center Accounts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS
- Lead technical proposal/bid package development and provide power distribution application support for assigned Strategic and Data Center Accounts
- Partner closely with strategic account operations, north American sales, district operating centers and technical application support organizations
- Respond to requests from north American sales, channel partners and reps for Data Center new construction and aftermarket activities.
- Respond to requests from north American sales, channel partners and reps across industrial, commercial, and utility segments for large national accounts.
- Engage local resources to assist with proposal development and create standard pricing, quotation tools and processes to provide best-in-class service to our customers and improve proposal efficiency.
- Offer detailed project specification analysis, lead pricing development, provide construction estimating / subcontractor scope of work and engage third party vendors.
- Provide unique solutions beyond standard specifications to provide greater customer value and incorporate lessons learned to improve solution and pricing strategies
- Provide support to Eaton equipment Application Engineers in an effort to influence customer and consultation specifications, distributing of Eaton Standard Specifications to Consultants and End-Users
- Lead and support project hand-off activities and capture "extras" on projects which were beyond the original specification
- Attend and lead customer presentations via joint customer visits with sales channels. Educate and promote engineering services broad product and solution portfolio
- Actively support other division-wide initiatives and new offering development
- Conduct project management activities on small orders
- Track and provide monthly reporting of proposal activities and account metrics
- Support contracts terms and conditions review
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Travel up to 25% may be required
POSITION CRITERIA:
- Power distribution experience in servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical power distribution equipment.
- Working knowledge of labor required for troubleshooting, tests and repair techniques.
- Working knowledge of pricing and proposal generation in the electrical industry.
- Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication skills. Particular skill in communicating technical information to non-technical personnel, educating customers, and presenting information to internal and external customers.
- Advanced understanding of the competitor's electrical, electronic and mechanical products and services.
- Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with electrical and electronic equipment.
- Has demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR military experience AND/OR minimum 7 years of field service, proposal generation experience specific to our services in the electrical industry with a high school diploma.
- No relocation is being offered for this position. Candidate must reside within 50 mile radius of location listed in job description to be considered. Active duty military candidates are exempt from this requirement.
- Must be able to maintain an active and valid drivers license.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
