Job Description
• Maintain all software on existing process Distribution Center automation systems. Serve as system administrator for activities such as user provisioning and configuration.
• Develop and conduct training on systems for Distribution Center super users and other team members in the engineering and maintenance groups
• Assist in onboarding, support, and training of Systems Engineers
• Provide on-call elevated support during critical business periods for automation and software applications. This includes leading efforts with external MHE and software vendors for escalation support, in addition to providing elevated support to Systems Engineers
• Perform testing, debugging, and commissioning of control systems to ensure optimal system performance and uptime during critical business periods.
• Support the asset lifecycle development program by developing and executing plans to avoid issues associated with end-of-life or end-of-support from vendors.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies through tradeshows and publications and make recommendations to senior leadership to optimize the Company.
• Manage, communicate, and coordinate changes, fixes, and upgrades to existing Distribution Center automation systems.
• Demonstrate excellent project management skills: Managing and coordinating internally, the activities of outside system and/or service suppliers to ensure control of cost, schedule, risk, quality, performance, etc.
• Work with vendors and oversee the installation and implementation of capital infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Services, DC Operations, and Information Technology Teams to diagnose and support DC automation and software issues and on-going performance
• Provide recommendations relative to preventative maintenance, building automation, and building utilities utilization by analyzing key metrics, statistics, and building trends.
Qualifications:
• BS in computer science, industrial and systems engineering, or related engineering field
• 5+ years’ of experience with real time software applications, preferably distribution equipment including conveyor and unit sortation.
• 5+ years’ experience with Windows administration
• Highly Proficient in Microsoft applications – Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
• Highly Proficient in collecting and analyzing data for faults and trends, writing SQL queries and reports
• Demonstrated strong Project Management Skills. Experience managing multiple medium to large scale projects simultaneously
• Must have experience collaborating with multiple teams and vendors with the ability to solve complex issues
• Ability to work autonomously
• Customer focused.
• Data visualization skills – ability to “translate” data to present and make recommendations
Desired Additional Skills:
• Experience with HVAC Building Automation Systems
• Experience with barcode scanning systems (Laser scanners, Linear Imagers, Barcode Camera systems)
• Experience with IP Camera systems (VMS server software, IP camera configuration)
