Job Description
Our Senior Sales Manager oversees all venue details and events concerning our venue located near DTLA. This team member manages all happenings at the venue including but not limited to client design meetings, event rehearsals, venue maintenance (during and outside of event hours), among other various tasks. This position is client facing, as the Senior Sales Manager is the go-to person for all questions and concerns within the venue. The venue executes 100+ events per year between weddings, holiday parties, corporate events, and film shoots. This position reports to the Managing Director. The individual in this role must have a keen sense of event logistics and project planning, and be able to capture all details, timing and touchpoints for multiple events and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to promote the location as a premier event venue.
- Field and convert inquiries for weddings, social and corporate events.
- Drive sales by outreaching, prospecting, and helping build brand recognition and venue awareness.
- Conduct tours and participate in sales activities to attract new clients.
- Lead the planning and execution of diverse events, ensuring seamless logistics and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event vision and requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, providing top-notch customer service and building lasting client relationships.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism.
- Develop and manage event budgets, negotiating cost-effective contracts with vendors.
- Supervise event staff, ensuring they are well-prepared and delivering exceptional service.
- Recruit and train event personnel as needed.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with events, implementing safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of events, contracts, and client communications.
- Prepare reports on event performance and financial results.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Attend networking events to build relationships within the event planning community.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Proven experience in event planning and venue management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Budgeting and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with local event regulations.
- Base salary of $70,000 per year, plus commission.
