Description:

ABOUT MORNING CONSULT:

Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions. The company pairs its proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to better inform decisions on what people think and how they will act.
Ideally this position would be based in Chicago, IL, however we are open to our other office locations (Washington, DC or New York, NY).
This position will be based in one of our office locations (Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; New York, NY) or remote in San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Morning Consult is looking to hire an entrepreneurial strategic communications and market research professional to join our Research Solutions team. Those in this role require a keen understanding of custom quantitative survey research, messaging strategy and have experience bringing people together internally to make projects come to life.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing creative and impactful projects tailored to address our clients’ distinct business needs. Collaborating closely with our internal researchers and leadership, you will ensure that client expectations are not only met but exceeded. This role demands confident project leadership, effective team management and seamless collaboration with senior stakeholders, all while delivering compelling quantitative insights.
You thrive in dynamic environments, excel in navigating ambiguity and are excited about the opportunity to shape clients’ strategic communications and market research initiatives.

ABOUT YOU AND WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience designing and analyzing custom quantitative survey methodologies
  • Proven track record of success in leading complex survey methodology and analysis
  • Significant experience managing clients, eager to exceed client expectations to deepen trust and secure future opportunities
  • Strong prioritization skills, translating strategic business priorities into daily work and impact
  • An organized planner who clarifies priorities and progress with collaborators to maintain visibility
  • Anticipator and strategic thinker who challenges assumptions and can recognize research project/program risks and proposes alternatives with higher impact
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to capture stakeholder attention, clarify critical needs and facilitate progress and next steps
  • Uncompromising attention to detail with high technical standards and demonstrated understanding of best practices
  • Recognizes and proactively raises barriers to success, contributes creative ideas to increase impact and proposes changes to processes that improve team output
  • A constantly curious individual who seeks stretch assignments takes advantage of on-the-job experiential training and solicits feedback for growth
  • Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
Note: We view the above section as a guide, not a checklist. Research shows that underrepresented/marginalized groups are less likely to apply for a job if they feel that they don’t meet 100% of the qualifications. We welcome diverse and non-traditional backgrounds and encourage you to apply even if you don’t satisfy every single bullet on this list! It’s expected that you’ll learn and grow throughout your time at Morning Consult, so if you’re open to building new skills, we’d love to hear from you.
The expected salary range for this position is $72,100 - $113,400, with a midpoint of $92,800.
In most cases, we target the midpoint of our salary ranges for new hire compensation. This placement is reflective of full proficiency in a role. This role is eligible for additional variable compensation and an equity grant, which will be discussed in your initial recruiter conversation.
