Job Summary:
A Senior Graphic Designer at Crooked Media has strong design skills, produces high caliber design work and is a leader amongst the design team who provides direction for junior design staff. A Senior Designer reports to the Art Director andbut is able to work autonomously, making informed design decisions without significant oversight. They are able to handle projects from conception through completion, and can effectively present their work to stakeholders. They have a knowledge of politics and current events that informs their design decisions.
Crooked is moving towards a hybrid work model for our entire staff. Ideally looking for Los Angeles based candidates, or candidates willing to relocate within the first 3 months of accepting an offer.
How You'll Spend Your Time:
- Produce best-in-class design work across a range of mediums (show logos, merchandise, website graphics, social assets, email/newsletter, live shows and more)
- Provide UX and UI expertise for digital products. Work with agencies to ensure UX and UI best practices are met
- Present work effectively to project stakeholders
- Manage a complex schedule and workload
- Provide direction for junior designers
- Make informed design decisions without significant guidance
- Lead medium sized projects autonomously, from idea generation through post-mortem
- Help evolve and define brand assets and guidelines
- Provide production support when needed (sourcing and retouching photos, resizing assets)
- Distill market trends and internet literacy into impactful visuals
What You'll Bring To The Table:
- 5+ years of experience and an aptitude for leadership
- Strong knowledge of color, typography, design and graphic principles
- A passion for art, advertising, design, culture and trends
- Good organizational skills and an awareness of deadlines
- A willingness to accept and respond to feedback
- An interest in politics
- Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills
- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or a related discipline preferred
- A working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects specifically)
- Working knowledge of Keynote, Google Drive - Docs, Sheets, Slides
- Working knowledge of project management and communication tools such as Slack, Asana, Monday, Google suite
- Effective collaborator with a track record of cross-functional success.
- Bonus but not necessary: Working knowledge of motion design.

When we open up a position, we conduct a market analysis to ensure we have the most up-to-date data. Once we're ready to extend an offer, we look at the individual's years of relevant experience and other compensable factors to determine a competitive offer. And for this role, the starting salary range is $85,000 - $95,000.
