Network Engineer
Location: New York City, New York ( Onsite role )
Qualification:
- B Sc, B Com, Relevant Diploma Degrees (CSC, Electronics), BE
- 4+ years of experience in Networking administration, upgrades, implementation, or engineering.
- Experience working with Cisco routers and switches.
- Experience working with F5 load balancers.
- Experience working with Palo Alto firewalls and exposure to other network security protocols, systems, and triage.
- Any Cisco certification is a nice to have (CCNA, CCNE,CCNA. etc.)
Job Duties & Responsibility:
- Troubleshoot and debug Networking related issues & triage issues as needed.
- Work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Document processes and create technical documentation.
- Perform Bug Scrubbing activity and provide industry standard solutions for BugFix.
- Ability to think outside the box to solve complex technical issues. Use professional concepts and company objectives to solve complex issues.
- Manage cross country teams and mentor them and solve any technical issues and provide solutions.
- Partnering with technical and business leaders across the organization to drive value from the technology solutions.
- Identify and remove waste in the software development lifecycle to improve flow throughput productivity and quality.
- Work with OEM vendors in identifying the recommended code version for upgrade.
- Validate hardware compatibility for applying the planned code upgrade.
- Prepare step by step guide/runbook for patch upgrade with a backup plan.
- Coordination and monitoring of patch management process and deployments; including interacting with various stakeholder groups.
- Device configuration backup and restoration.
- Provide Hands and feet support during upgrades.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[85,000.00 - 115,000.00] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
