REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required, in finance or accounting.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in public or non-profit accounting, budget preparation and financial analysis.
- High level proficiency in using Excel and other financial reporting software.
- Previously demonstrated financial analysis skills and acumen.
- Performs professional accounting work in support of the fiscal and administrative operations of the organization.
- Assist in preparation of the monthly financial statements in compliance with official reporting guidelines and requirements.
- Prepare and update projections for various projects in support of program directors.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
- Analyze and document monthly budget to actual revenue and expense variances by project.
- Review the organization's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Assist the CFO and Controller with year-end financial close and annual external audit.
- Assist in development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
- Perform various internal audits as directed by the CFO and Controller to ensure transactions are being adhered to as per Finance Policies and Procedures.
- Utilize automated accounting system to facilitate processes and maintain records.
- Assist with completion of the annual operating and capital budget for the organization.
Salary: Salary range is Commensurate with experience, medical/dental insurance, life insurance, LTD disability insurance, retirement savings plan/401K, paid time off programs. Compensation is $70,000 USD to $80,000 USD per year.
