NeoGenomics is looking for a Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting and Equity based out of our office in Carlsbad, CA or Aliso Viejo, CA who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting and Equity, will play a key role in the equity process, preparation of quarterly and annual external financial reporting to the SEC, quarterly earnings release and supplemental packages, other regulatory Reporting and technical accounting research, implementation, and disclosures.
Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain monthly equity journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with investigating variance analysis
• Assist in the preparation of the Company's Securities Exchange Act filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, Proxy Statement, other Securities Act filings and press releases (external financial filings)
• Preparation of disclosures and underlying schedules
• Assist with the preparation of earnings and related matters, ensure consistency in external reports and timeliness
• Partner with strategic finance, business development, management, external auditors/advisors to understand business transactions and perform accounting research
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure appropriate implementation of and compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, procedures and conventions
• Assist with the adoption of new accounting standards
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for committees and various levels of management
• Prepare external auditor's interim and annual audit requests
• Maintain documentation of internal control processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Proactively search for process improvement opportunities across the financial Reporting and Equity accounting areas, identify ways to automate Reporting and accounting functions, reducing the time required to prepare materials and file SEC documents

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Accounting
• Public accounting experience and CPA candidate preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance

Pay Range (will vary based on location & experience) $89,653-$145,555 annually, plus bonus
