Form of work Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $74,000 to $94,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Analyze financial data and suggest ways to reduce costs and improve revenue.
Preparing necessary documentation for external audits.
Review financial statements for discrepancies and alert the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) if any issues arise.
Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Supervising, preparing, verifying, and maintaining financial records, including journal entries and general ledger accounts. Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, policies, and industry regulations.
Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, such as balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements. Presenting financial information to stakeholders, management, and auditors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
3-5 years of accounting experience
QuickBooks knowledge
Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, Sum Ifs)
Experience:
Preparing financials at month-end, variance actual vs budget, putting together reports to go over with the head of departments.
Retail Accounting Exposure experience
Consumer goods industry experience
