Job Overview
Southern California-based commercial construction & development company Howard CDM is seeking a reliable and team-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing firm. This is a great opportunity for a career-minded person who would enjoy working in a fun and fast-paced environment for a company with a track record of upskilling and promoting its employees.
The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to the monthly financial close of multiple entities, the production and distribution of recurring + ad hoc reporting packages, and the overseeing of the monthly work-in-process schedule.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 2 years accounting experience or 5 years relevant accounting experience.
Knowledge of construction-specific accounting duties (Work-in-Process, Contracts, Change Orders).
Knowledge of Sage 300CRE (Timberline)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Required
Valid California Driver's License Required
Excellent time management & organization skills

Full-Time and Onsite Monday - Friday, standard operating hours are 8am-5pm
$75,000 - $90,000/yr

How We Determine What We Pay
Howard CDM determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
