Job Description
Our client is seeking a Sr. Accountant on a contract to hire basis. This position is a key member of the Finance Team.
Summary of Position Requirements
Assist in the day-to-day financial operational functions of the division, including financial analysis and reporting and corporate and divisional reporting requirements.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
· Prepare weekly revenue and cost of sales transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures
· Assist in the month-end close process ensuring it’s completed accurately and timely in conjunction with Corporate/Region deadlines
· Process bi-weekly commissions, advances, and bonuses ensuring compliance with policies and proper record retention for auditing purposes
· Maintain abudgets in excel and JD Edwards for all land assets
· Maintain fixed asset subledger
· Record cash receipts, wires and land purchases
· Setup new jobs/projects, and maintain pricing in JD Edwards
· Prepare quarterly general ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations
· Process annual property taxes payments and property tax exemptions
· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required
· Three years minimum related accounting and financial experience, homebuilding experience preferred
· Public accounting experience preferred
· CPA/CFA preferred; at minimum CPA/CFA candidate
