POSITION SUMMARY:
The Global Corporate Controller ensures the preparation and analysis of all financial reports and ensures such reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with all applicable regulations. This position directs and develops the organization’s international accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. This position will advise management of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact international operations and reporting. Maintains an in-depth, and up to date knowledge and understanding of both US and international accounting principles. This position creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the organization and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead monthly close process
- Lead Global financial consolidation
- Lead implementation of Global internal controls
- Lead engagement with external auditors and preparation of audited financial statements
- Lead tax reporting and preparation
- Lead communication with banks
- Deliver reporting required by the shareholders
- Answer technical accounting questions for the group
- Lead Intercompany charge process
- Lead Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable process
- Ad hoc analysis as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 -15 years experience
- Prior Big 4 accounting desirable
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- CPA required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required
- Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be required to travel occasionally to the US locations and foreign locations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Essential physical requirements, such as climbing stairs, standing, stooping, or typing. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds and/or move up to 50 pounds with aids.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able and willing to work in an office environment, often sedentary at a desk and behind a computer. Additionally, must be willing to work the daily hours necessary to meet the international objectives of the company. This often requires meeting with the global teams outside of the hours of 9 – 5, in the early mornings and/or evenings, and adjusting work hours as necessary to meet the needs of the teams.
