Position Title: SANDBAR Property Manager
Position Overview:
The SANDBAR Property Manager oversees the management and accountability of all government-owned property, contractor-acquired property, equipment, and assets in the SANDBAR program. This includes the acquisition, tracking, inventory, disposal, and reporting of government property in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The SANDBAR Property Manager serves as a liaison between the program and the government, ensuring compliance with property management requirements and providing guidance on property-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Property Acquisition: Coordinate with project managers and acquisition personnel to ensure that all government-owned property is adequately identified, tagged, and recorded in accordance with established procedures. Review property acquisition documents, such as purchase orders and shipping documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Property Tracking and Inventory: Maintain a comprehensive and accurate property management system to track government property locations, conditions, and status. Conduct regular physical inventories to verify property records and reconcile any discrepancies. Prepare and submit reports on property accountability and quality as required.
Property Disposal: Coordinate and oversee the proper disposal of government property in accordance with applicable regulations and policies. This includes coordinating with other organizations for property transfer or disposal and ensuring that all required documentation is completed accurately and timely.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to government property management. Prepare and submit required reports to appropriate authorities, such as property loss or damage reports, property utilization reports, and property audit reports.
Program Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the SANDBAR program on matters related to government property. Provide guidance and assistance to program personnel regarding property management requirements, including property accountability, reporting, and disposition.
Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to program personnel on property management policies, procedures, and best practices. Develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and informational materials to promote awareness and understanding of property management requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field with 5-8 years' experience.
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to government property management, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with government officials, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with property management systems, tools, and software.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A SECRET security clearance is desired but not required.
Other position titles:Property Administrator, Property Custodian, or Property Officer.
