Day in the Life of a Salesforce Business Analyst

This role is responsible for leading the Salesforce support team, the management and development of Salesforce and Oracle CPQ, to ensure full utilization and tailoring of the platforms to match and support business objectives, using agile techniques and strategies. This role will review and analyze business, processes, services, and information needs with a view to implementing change management initiatives to improve the user experience and increase productivity.

A vital part of the role will be training Salesforce and Oracle CPQ to users across the business and being the Salesforce champion. The Salesforce Business Analyst reports to the Director of Sales Operations. This is fixed-term position for 10-12 months is remote and has 2 direct reports.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Consult and liaise with stakeholders to gather and confirm business requirements.
• Analyze and consolidate information to develop solutions to ensure business requirements are achieved.
• Partner with key stakeholders to identify how business requirements can be delivered to ensure improved user experiences and reduced cost and time impacts.
• Provide expert support to key stakeholders in managing system and process changes.
• Provide expert advice on application solution.
• Produce functional, technical and system design documentation.
• Conduct feasibility studies of applications and system solutions
• Create test scenarios for applications and enhancements, ensuring functional requirements are met.
• Facilitate testing of new Salesforce functionality rollouts
• Utilize and champion agile techniques to deliver on competing requirements.

System Support and Maintenance

• Oversee all system maintenance and configuration, including user set up, roles, profiles, groups, queues, security and permissions, workflows and validation rules, custom objects and fields.
• Supervise and advise on all system enhancements.
• Monitor and analyze site metrics, system performance, and user activity.
• Perform new release evaluations and execute new functionality rollouts.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve user experiences and increase efficiencies.
• Regularly audit data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvements.
• Develop complex reports and dashboards to support the delivery of business key metrics.
• Deliver effective training modules and user guides.
• Identify and develop super user knowledge and capabilities across the business.

Project Management

• Lead salesforce projects and initiatives that enhance salesforce.
• Develop cost analysis, design considerations, and implementation timelines.
• Assess project requirements and identify suitable resources, internal or external.
• Interact with third party vendors and developers where appropriate.

Team Management

• Manage direct reports to ensure growth and professional development.

Your Team

You will be working alongside an enthusiastic and talented team with diverse backgrounds. While there is autonomy in this role, the team members are always there to support one another and challenge themselves and others to their best potential. As you will be forming an integral part of the sales Operations team that supports the commercial functions within FRS you will also have an extended network of colleagues and collaborators across departments.

Experience

Experience

• 3+ years of experience with Salesforce setup and configuration essential
• 2+ years of Business Analyst experience or equivalent
• 1+ years of project management experience desirable
• Proficient MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Ability to gather, document, and execute detailed specifications and from high-level requirements with little supervision.
• Experience facilitating workshops and discussion sessions.
• Knowledge of best-practice sales and marketing processes.
• Salesforce.com Administrator Certification ADM201 or ADM211 is highly desirable.
• Oracle CPQ Admin Experience

Hard skills

• Knowledge of Sales and its Operations, Digital Marketing, Funnel Management, and Customer Relationship Management systems
• Process analysis in the commercial domain
• Exceptional verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Soft Skills

4. Ability to work on your own as well as in a team within a complex organization, dealing with various stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's degree: Study in Marketing and Communications, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or IT-related field is required.
