Project context
The Enterprise Business Architecture team (EBA) is responsible for the architecture of global enterprise solutions spanning multiple business areas. The EBA team works across business and IT stakeholders to lead development of multi-year business architecture artifacts to help translate business strategy into rigorous future proof technical designs and supports process transformation across the organization. The EBA team works with business and IT groups to ensure business processes are
enabled by standard and supported technologies with the appropriate level of enterprise integration and –ilities (e.g. reliability, manageability, scalability, etc.). The EBA team facilitates discussion around the construction of business models, including technology, business capabilities, value-streams and processes, and other business architecture artifacts. The architecture team and business leaders understand, apply, monetize and operationalise existing, new, and emerging technologies to transform and optimize the business and operating models.
The Business Analyst collaborates with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows. They translate these requirements into functional specifications for technology
teams and work closely with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure successful project delivery. The Business Analyst also identifies areas for process improvement and recommends solutions to enhance operational efficiency and
effectiveness.
Musts
- Lead development of multi-year business capability road maps for internal business units such as Marketing, Sales, Services, HR, and Finance.
- Facilitate enterprise strategy development, opportunity identification, business cases, technology adoption opportunities, operating model development, and innovation opportunities.
- Facilitate development of cross functional business solutions that combine knowledge of business capabilities, value streams, and business processes.
- Analyze existing processes within an organization.
- Partner with business teams to document current processes to gain a clear understanding of how things currently work, including identifying bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for improvement.
- Use various modeling techniques such as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) or other modeling languages to create visual representations of processes. These models help stakeholders understand and visualize how processes will change after transformation.
- Construct deliverables that demonstrate how to move the business toward realizing its strategic goals and targeted business outcomes using structured approaches. Deliverables include, but are not limited to, business-outcome statements,
- strategy on a page, scenario planning, business capability modeling, value-streams mapping, business process models, process modeling, ecosystems modeling, customer and user profiling, journey maps, human-centric design, and investment road maps
- Articulate and document business strategy, goals and objectives
- Develop, document and periodically review target business architecture
- Develop processes and business architecture artifacts to improve business architecture, with a focus on innovation and agility
- Provide ongoing architecture review and design support to ensure all areas of IT are implementing solutions consistent with the target architecture
- Share in developing the long term strategic direction for the company's IT enterprise architecture
- Liaise with management and subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization to accomplish objectives
- Display initiative, self motivation and deliver high quality work while at the same time, meeting all deadlines for internal customers
