Step Right Up! Are you ready to run away with the circus? Two Bit Circus is not your normal play space; it features the latest in immersive entertainment, multiplayer VR experiences, fast-casual dining and a full bar. In between games, players can fill up on creative circus-inspired classics and new takes on bartender favorites, some drinks mixed by a robot bartender.
A brand-new type of social playspace, Two Bit Circus consists of multiple indoor zones, including a reimagined midway, an arcade filled with vintage classics and new hits, various Story Rooms (our very own fun filled escape room-like experiences), a multiplayer VR Arena, and VIP lounges. Two Bit Circus’ mission is to bring people of all ages together, elbow-to-elbow, to play.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sales & Events Director, you will be responsible for making intro calls to our local community, hotels, and schools to schedule tours to gain their interest in hosting an event at Two Bit Circus. The role is non-exempt ranging from $18 - $20/hr. As the role grows, this could lead to earning additional commission when making sales. The position is based in Los Angeles. Remote on Monday and in the office Tuesday - Friday. This allows for the person to be available to greet walk-in guests, and provide tours, and other partnerships with the Park management team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Willingness to accept the most effective role;
Build relationships with Group and Educational Tours as well as Community and Hotel Outreach;
Research local companies to make the first connection. Providing an introduction to the interal Sales team once basic information on the event has been gathered;
Provide interested groups with appropriate sales information, reservation forms, processed itineraries and confirmations, troubleshoot any reservation discrepancies;
Finalizes all events and send out thank you cards to all event hosts after the events;
Develop and maintain contact databases which include 3rd party vendors or previous clients;
Keep the management team informed of group sales updates;
Maintains positive relationships with current and prospective accounts as a member of the corporate group sales team;
Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential;
Additional ad hoc administrative support for the Sales & Events team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of experience in guest service/hospitality or marketing/sales preferred;
- Familiarity with Google Suite is preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a requirement;
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Experience working in a start-up environment and working in sales launching a new product or customer experience is preferred;
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, ability to successfully complete a criminal background check;
- Requires regular and predictable attendance;
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit;
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity;
- Continually required to talk and hear;
- Occasionally required to work in an environment that is loud or very loud;
- Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
