As a Risk Analyst, provides business related analysis activities for company Risk Management functions as directed by the Risk Management Department. Supports the Risk Management Department's compliance and audit functions, the annual property and casualty insurance policy renewal process and other special Risk Management projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Facilitates interdepartmental working groups to achieve and maintain underwriting and claims information accuracy against historical records and business changes.
- Utilizes available data to provide analytical assessments as requested.
- Prepares underwriting applications and reviews historical and projected underwriting information to validate year-over-year changes.
- Maintains insurance policy records and related underwriting information.
- Facilitates communication within company for underwriting and financial information requirements.
- Works with Risk Management Department leadership to prepare annual insurance policy renewal presentations.
- Reviews insurance policies and endorsements thereof for accuracy and completeness. Ensures any policy changes are documented properly.
- Supports the insurance premium and Risk Management expense inter-company allocation process.
- Supports various Risk Management Department audits and compliance efforts. Assesses and communicates accuracy of information collected and audit results.
- Serves as liaison to the Accounting Department for captive insurance company and other financial and accounting matters.
- Works with the Claims Information System to generate accurate loss history reports as requested.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of insurance or Risk Management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Finance, plus 2 years insurance or Risk Management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities.
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation.
- Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation.
Compensation
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $25.96 - $38.94
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
