An ABA therapist is to work directly with the BCBA to implement the clinical programs and treatment plan using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Responsibilities:
-Implement ABA programs as determined by the behavior analyst.
-Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) as determined by the behavior analyst.
-Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
-Write daily progress notes.
-Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers about client progress on a daily basis.
-Transport clients as needed.
-Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
-Maintain client confidentiality and abide by HIPAA.
-Attend team training/meetings as scheduled.
-Attend required parent trainings/meetings as scheduled.
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment at all times.
-Check FABS email weekly and effectively communicate with management and behavior analyst.
-Abide by all company policies and adapt to change within the organization.
-Complete other duties assigned by the management and behavior analyst. Such as cleaning, organizing rooms, computer related tasks etc..
-Ability to accept constructive criticism and apply the knowledge given in a professional manner.
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment and adapt quickly to change.
-Organizational and time management skills.
-Analytical and problem solving skills.
-Ability to work with different levels of management, staff members, outside partners, and general public.

-Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written client programs.

Physical Requirements:
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
-Must be able to maintain prolonged positions such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, and crawling.
-Must be able to run after a client if they engage in elopement behavior.
-Must be able to sit on the floor for an extended period of time.
-Must be able and willing to restrain/transport/hold as directed by the behavior analyst and as written in the behavior intervention plan for clients with challenging behavior only with the appropriate training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
