Our client is a high-growth integrated Risk Management software-as-a-service company specializing in Risk Management in the DeFi space. Their platform offers DeFi protocol customers Risk Management services to identify, assess, mitigate and respond to risk in crypto markets. They are seeking a technical-minded and inquisitive self-starter to join their team as a Senior Solutions Architect and Crypto Risk Management Analyst. The ideal candidate will have expert-level SQL skills and a background in financial markets or financial trading; emphasizing risk, security, or compliance. Prior cryptocurrency experience is required including direct experience understanding Smart Contracts and general tokenomics of DeFi.
Remote Position. Candidates based in the US will be W2 employees with benefits, non-US candidates will be considered as full time contractors
Responsibilities:
- Learn the company’s platform inside and out, including how to design and implement rules to trigger meaningful alerts and notifications
- Establish customer specific instances of our risk and control framework, identifying the specific controls to be in-scope for a customer
- Create and update customer dashboards that show key risk indicators for their protocol and adjacent protocols and partners
- Create and edit rules leveraging Ledger Works platform to monitor Smart Contracts to trigger alerts and notifications
- Support client onboarding and account management
- Work closely with the engineering team to productize collections of risks, controls and the supporting dashboards and rules to serve customer classes, e.g. overcollaterized lenders
- Diligently analyze protocol activity and document insights, using these insights to provide better risk monitoring service to customers and improve the business’s software continually
- Provide insights and customer feedback to the engineering team to help refine and grow the Crypto Risk Management platform
- Develop a deep understanding of collateralized lenders and their associated Smart Contracts that power the crypto markets to mature the risk and controls platform
- As client base grows, maintain common rules library to improve monitoring and reporting techniques
- Lead threat research by using proprietary analytical expertise and tooling to gather insights from analyzing aggregate and transaction level data
- Act as a threat hunter identifying risks and thinking through remediating controls/rules to help our customers remain ahead of the game
- Identify and manage chain-wide and protocol-specific trends, distilling metrics and data into actionable insights to present to executive leadership and select customers
- Have knowledge of SQL, Postgress and/or related technologies to be able to understand the underlying analytics and to maximize opportunities to build better rules
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- 3-5 years of experience in financial banking, trading, or markets, preferred
- 1-3 years of direct experience with cryptocurrency markets generally and DeFi protocols specifically, required
- Best-in-class SQL skills, required
- Experience with common DeFi protocols like UniSwap, Compound or similar, required
- At least 1 year of experience with risk, security, or DeFi protocols preferred
- Deep understanding of financial Risk Management and risk and controls methodology preferred
- Coding or engineering background a plus; knowledge of at least one modern query language
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently with minimal supervision or direction
- Some experience with common protocols like UniSwap or Compound required
- Knowledge of Smart Contracts, including the development cycle a plus
