*The Team:*
Jackson Square Aviation ("JSA") is seeking to hire an entry level Analyst into our Risk Management group, to assist the company's efforts in evaluation of new airline customers, monitoring of existing exposures, industry research and other Risk Management initiatives.
This position will be based in JSA's San Francisco office.

JSA is a San Francisco-based commercial aircraft lessor with over US$11bn in assets and a fleet of c.250 aircraft, across 59 customers in 29 countries. JSA provides a variety of fleet and financial solutions to airlines such as sale and leaseback financing, new aircraft order placements, PDP financing, and leasing solutions from its existing fleet. Its experienced, international, and professional staff in San Francisco, Dublin, Toulouse, Singapore, Beijing, and Lima are all fully committed to both meeting the airlines' evolving needs, whilst delivering robust risk adjusted financial returns to its shareholders. Leveraging our extended relationships with aircraft manufacturers, financiers, and other aviation businesses, JSA offers the fleet and capital flexibility vital to airlines' fleet replacement and expansion requirements.
JSA is part of the Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. (MHC) group, a global leasing company based in Japan and publicly listed on the Tokyo and Nagoya Stock Exchanges.
*The Role:*
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the successful candidate will be charged with the following duties and responsibilities:
* Assist in the detailed financial and operational analysis of new and existing global airline customers.
* Support the monitoring and evaluation of the creditworthiness of current and prospective customers.
* As part of the deal team, assist with the transaction approval and execution process.
* Enhance the Company's overall Risk Management strategy.
* Assist in the development of an independent view on airlines and the markets they operate, and aide the ranking and prioritisation of counterparties in their respective markets.
* Support both the regional Deal and Risk teams, in the transaction structuring, approval, and execution processes.
* Frequent international travel will be required, often at short notice.
*Required Qualifications / Competencies:*
* Legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship (no OPT).
* Bachelor's degree.
* Demonstrated understanding of financial statements and investment concepts.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Robust presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
* Highly self-motivated and driven to succeed.
* Good understanding of a variety of international cultures and an internationally oriented mindset.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Recent graduate with a major in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
* Internship or limited work experience in investment/commercial banking, accounting, Risk Management, or consulting with a financial or accounting focus.
* Interest in pursuing or progress towards professional certifications such as CFA or FRM.
* Interest in aviation.
* Foreign language skills.
* Local candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
