Job Description Summary
Primarily responsible for the organization and permanent archiving of the laboratories' records and ensuring timely, accurate reporting of laboratory test results.
Job Description
This is an entry level role with the wage between $14 and $16 per hour.
A higher wage would be considered for those with prior work experience within this area.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain organization and classification of archival records per standard operating procedure to ensure future retrieval.
  • File documentation and records per established procedures and archive associated test results and documentation.
  • Accurately complete documentation as required by established procedures.
  • Monitors, coordinates, and facilitates off-site storage of laboratory records when necessary.
  • Retrieve laboratory records for internal and external audits.
  • Responsible for collection and organization of electronic records from laboratory instrumentation per standard operating procedure.
  • Responsible for collecting and ensuring records are retained for specified time periods.
  • Assist in processing and investigating customer inquiries.
  • Perform required donor deferral entries into the National Donor Deferral Registry, as assigned.
  • Report manual test results to laboratory customers as necessary.
  • Enter and report positive and confirmatory test results.
  • Effectively communicate and escalate quality issues to Quality Management as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Practical experience working in a cGMP regulated environment preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. Strong organization skills and legible handwriting are essential.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and keep a high degree of focus even when performing routine tasks.
  • Able to communicate complex information and ideas so others will understand
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions and plans work schedules to meet goals.
  • Ability to interact with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
  • Ability to apply abstract principles to solve complex conceptual issues.

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic and caustic chemicals, cold temperatures (≤ -20°C), and frequently to biological hazards.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • 5+ hours per shift: Sitting, Standing Handling. Finger dexterity, Pinching
  • 3- 5 hours per shift: Lifting to 25-50 pounds
  • Up to 3 hours per shift: Walking Climbing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders, reaching waist to shoulder, reaching knee to waist, reaching floor to knee, grasping items, carrying/move items up to 25 pounds
