Rainier Clinical Research Center (Renton, WA) is seeking a full time Receptionist/Office Assistant. The Receptionist/Office Assistant position includes front desk duties and other duties that support the administrative department.
Rainier Clinical Research Center is a privately-owned clinical research center conducting clinical trials for pharmaceutical, biotech and device companies. The company has been in business for over 30 years with a specialty in diabetes research. All studies are conducted under the supervision of board-certified physicians.
We are currently seeking a full-time Receptionist/Office Assistant with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced work atmosphere.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary
- Welcomes and directs visitors and clients
- Makes and confirms appointment reminder calls to patients
- Administers phone system
- Place orders for office supplies, business cards, letterhead, name badges, promotional supplies, ad hoc print requests
- Place orders for study related groceries upon request
- Assist with installation of computers, monitors, workstations for new employees
- Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions
- Clean and stock exam rooms
- Clinic laundry
- Chart distribution
- Manage copiers and copy areas and facilitate work orders for network printers
- Manage staff kitchen - Run dishwasher, put away clean dishes, set up for staff lunches
- Stock refrigerators with beverages and/or water
- Maintain coffee bar, snack bars, waiting room
- Mail runs, distribute packages, orders and office supplies, contact FedEx Express for pick-up daily, FedEx Ground Pick-up as needed
- Answer doors (front door, shipping and receiving door)
- Keep inventory and manage ordering of supplies as needed (Costco, Amazon, Staples, Instacart, etc.)
- Create office welcoming starter pack for new hires
- Order and set up staff and executive lunches
- Order and administer new hire phones
- Label IT peripherals & supports IT asset tracking
- Oversee minor office repairs
- Communicate with landlord regarding any facility management issues – opens work orders
- Water plants in shared office spaces
- Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports and other correspondence
- Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed
- Provide other administrative support as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be reliable, self-directed with demonstrated ability to work in collaboration and cooperation with members of a multidisciplinary team

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
- One to three years of experience in a Receptionist/Office Assistant role preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
- Must be willing to work onsite at our office in Renton, WA

Salary: $18 - $25 per hour

Company Education Allowance:
