Job Overview
Big Tex Trailers has an immediate opening for a Receiving Technician in Mt. Pleasant, TX. The general purpose of this position is to ensure proper receipt and documentation of incoming supplies and material for production of Pro-Grade trailers at our facility. This position will report directly to the Materials Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
- Review packing slips upon delivery to ensure proper material and quantities are received into inventory. This position will work in conjunction with forklift drivers as they are unloading trucks at time of delivery.
- Inspect condition of material upon receipt to determine if a non-compliance report (NCR) needs to be completed.
- Coordinate with buyers for any discrepancies in material quantity or condition within same day to ensure timely reconciliation to prevent material shortages.
- Serve as collection point of daily forklift inspection sheets.
- Assist with clearing invoice variances for timely payment to suppliers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
- May be exposed to extreme heat and cold depending on weather.
- May be subject to dirt, dust, oil, welding fumes, traffic hazards, and high noise levels in the workplace.
