Receiving Clerk

Summary: Receives & processes material from incoming shipments/deliveries and compiles/maintains inventory records. Verifies & stores records on incoming shipments then moves incoming material within the plant to applicable locations. Processes returns for materials damaged in shipping and promptly resolves any problems or discrepancies with items. Supports Quality and other departments of the organization as required.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

· Counts/sorts/weighs incoming material to verify receipt to dock/stock

· Receives incoming material to stock; keeping appropriate transaction records

· Marks parts/storage containers for identification; including lot/heat numbers when necessary for traceability requirements

· Assists with packing material for shipment when required

· Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock/adjusts errors/investigates & reports discrepancies

· Processes returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items

· Prepares reports such as inventory balance/purchase receipts

· Stocks materials

· Follows-up on overdue purchase orders and reports status to Purchasing Manager

· Performs general office administrative duties

· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in general inventory management and administrative duties

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
