Quality Manager Manufacturing

Oversee the planning, coordinating, and directing of quality-related activities as related to QMS compliance. Reporting directly with Ownership, the Quality Manager position exercises direct leadership and responsibility for all aspects of the businesses’ quality system including the Quality staff.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, train, and coach quality staff on appropriate skills and techniques required for success.
• Enforce documentation and recordkeeping practices for QMS compliance. Maintain document control for procedures and work instructions.
• Act as the lead for ISO 9001:2015 and other audits.
• Administrate and report on the internal audit program.
• Lead all corrective action activities and act as a lead for moving the management team to appropriate actions that address root cause.
• Enforce elements of change control when updates are made or processes are altered.
• Coordinate with internal staff and outside service providers to ensure that all equipment calibrations are up to date.
• Prepare various certificates for out-going shipments as needed.
• Perform metrology as required for quality engineering purposes.
• Schedule and coordinate the management review meetings. Keep management review records.
• Track and report on quality metrics.
• Maintain the quality department budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of sciences preferred.
• Proficient in reading prints and drawings regarding dimensions and tolerances of product.
• High degree of capability with measuring tools (i.e. micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and standards)
• Experience with OGP measure mind Optical Measurement and Zwick/Roell Tensile Testing a plus
• Prior experience in quality management or quality engineering a must.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office products.
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Capable of training others as needed.
• Must possess a strong commitment to the company and to the production of quality product.

• Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
