Purchasing Assistant Bilingual in Mandarin

Purchasing Assistant duties include maintaining relationships with Suppliers, Vendors, and/or Wholesalers. Placing orders for products based on current inventory needs and tracking shipments from company warehouses. Responsible for market research to get the best deals for the company and ensure timely delivery of products.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

The Production Associate reports directly to the following:
• Purchasing Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBIITIES:

• Manage purchase orders and tracking shipping schedules
• Collaborates with Receiving Department to identify order discrepancies and perform material receipt notification to our field as required
• Updating order records
• Inventory Management for the office supplies and services
• Working with the purchasing manager to complete necessary special projects/tasks
• Coordinate with service companies and personnel in regards to facility maintenance
REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 1 year in purchasing experience
• Preferred experience in a similar position for a manufacturing facility
• Working knowledge in Excel, Microsoft Office and general computer operations and concepts
• Familiarity of fluency with a 2nd language, preferably Mandarin
• Advance mathematical, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Must be able to work well in a team environment and be motivated to work as an individual.
• Must be open to quick direct communication.

• Has strong responsibility, and initiative
