Purchasing Assistant

Perry Office Plus is Central Texas' largest independent office and janitorial products supplier and has an immediate opening in our Temple headquarters for an experienced purchasing professional. Our ideal candidate is seeking a stable, long-term position with a growing local company!

What You’ll Do:

• Learn about all aspects of our warehouse and purchasing operations.
• Enter purchase orders and track orders through delivery.
• Report issues and handle vendor credits.
• Analyze purchasing trends to determine stocking needs.
• Proactively identify other tasks that will support department goals.
• Learn about new product lines, vendors, and markets.
• Occasional lifting.

Requirements for this Position:

• Minimum of three (3) years purchasing experience.
• Time management skills to complete all daily activities.
• Strong communication skills to keep team well-informed.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage all projects and tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills.
• Experience with office supplies and janitorial items products preferred.
• Some college education is preferred.
• Must pass Drug Screen and Background Check prior to starting work.
