Job Description:
JSL is searching for a highly motivated Project Coordinator that will provide Logistic Management for Alteration Installation Teams (AIT) supporting multiple programs within Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) – Port Hueneme Division (PHD). Supported programs include Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS), Gun Weapon System (GWS), Naval Fires Control System (NFCS) and Littoral Combat System (LCS) Programs. The successful candidate will be on site and join a very dynamic, fast paced team that requires flexibility in tasking to rapidly respond to fleet requirements. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Create and maintain installation schedules, critical path and alternative options, tracking of shipyard and planning yard work, actions and milestones, writing reports, developing presentations, identifying and analyzing courses of action, tracking installation costs and performing analysis of installation data.
• Support documentation development and revision for items such as Interface Control Documents (ICD), test procedures, engineering studies, installation procedures, AIT workbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), weekly and final installation reports, status presentations, installation in/out briefs, program review briefs, financial reports and lessons learned trackers.
• Track, research, analyze, and provide a trend analysis and recommendations for installation issues.
• Provide installation financial tracking support including items such as planned vs actual costs, NWA reports, Earned Value Management and Cost Schedule Performance reports
• Coordinate communications and meeting schedules with relevant program team members and stakeholders.
• Interface with various NSWC PHD entities and activities for program schedule, milestone, and product deliverable status.
Required Skills:
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to effectively work within a team environment, including remote team members
• Ability to effectively coordinate across multiple external teams and departments to achieve common goals.
• Ability to track, research, analyze, and provide trend analysis and recommendations.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn quickly and perform in a dynamic, fast paced team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to evolving customer requirements and produce positive results.
• Ability to obtain a valid U.S. government secret clearance.
Preferred Skills:
• Existing U.S. government secret clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in Integrated Product Support, Operational/Technical Research, and Financial in a logistics role.
• Demonstrated experience with project coordination and team building.
• Familiarity with Alteration Installation Teams and Naval Weapons Systems.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation.
