We are seeking a new team member to join the Integrated Water Management Group in our Sacramento office. This position will provide opportunities to contribute to a broad range of water resources planning and management projects with specific emphasis on Emergency Management.
Under limited supervision, the Project Analyst provides project assistance for a wide variety of projects, related to safety, security, emergency, and continuity planning, and regulation compliance in these areas. This position will also perform routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard analysis and planning techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Responsible for preparing analysis details and outlines, technical specifications, studies and reports, project documents, and provides support of broader security and safety activities.
- Gathers and records information to be used for cost estimating.
- Performs research, studies, and prepares routine technical reports or sections of reports.
- Assignments may involve some unusual of difficult problems requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level.
- Interfaces with clients and is able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and follow multiple priorities.
- Collects data and gathers information or documents.
- Performs standard computations or analysis.
- Prepares checklists, reports, and visual aids.
- Assists or develops and leads assessments, workshops, and meeting activities.
- Performs more technical or specially skilled tasks.
- Prepares reports, spreadsheets, and presentations using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- May be responsible for assisting or managing projects; responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget; plans and designs project resources, prepares budgets, monitors progress, and keeps stakeholders informed throughout the life of the project.
- May be responsible for managing employees; accomplishes objectives by managing staff, planning, and evaluating appropriate activities; develops personal growth opportunities for staff.
- Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements for projects.
- May direct segments of a project and participate in the application of carrying out a sequence of related security, safety, cyber, or emergency preparedness tasks.
- Monitors project progress for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget.

Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience working on water resources, emergency management, or other analytical related projects.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or on a team
- A valid driver's license
