Overview

As a Bio-Rad Project Financial Analyst Intern, you will create a financial model for new products that captures planned revenues, expenses, and units sold. They compute key metrics and show forecasts by month and year. This model is created at the project feasibility/planning stage and is updated during key project checkpoints.

For example, a Project Financial Analyst may use a worksheet to capture the sales forecast of products that are intended to be single transaction sales, such as instruments, consumables, and one-time software purchases. They enter product names at the customer orderable product level and enter separate forecasts for stand-alone products, accessories, and product + accessory combinations.This is an essential, on-site role in our Hercules, Corporate Office site and this intern will work approximately 40 hours per week. 

 

How You Will Make an Impact: 

  • You will analyze current MS Excel Project Financial Analysis template
  • Build Smartsheet blueprint sheet templates
  • Build Smartsheet blueprint report templates
  • Work w/ Data Scientist to ensure formatting of data is easily connect to MS PowerBI
  • Build MS PowerPoint slide w/ embedded MS PowerBI report

What You Bring: 

  • Education: Bachelors/Masters In Process pursuing a degree related to Business, Business Analysis, Finance/Accounting or Project Management
  • Work Experience: School or Previous Project Business Case / Financial Analysis Experience
  • Working Understanding Or Ability To Quickly Learn Smartsheet, Including Creation Of Complex Equations
  • Strong Understanding Of MS Excel
  • Strong Understanding Of Presenting Data That Can Easily Be Consumed By Databases/MS PowerBI

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $25 at the time of posting.  Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
