Position Summary:The Program Coordinator is the lead administrative person who will frequently manage the day-to-day operations of the Family Medicine Residency Program. The Program Coordinator will also serve as an important liaison and facilitator between the learners, faculty, and other staff members, and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Annual Compensation: $65 - 75K
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative support to the Teaching Health Center program director and associate director.
- Serves as a key member of the leadership team and is critical to the success of the Teaching Health Center Program.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the ACGME and program requirements, including policies and procedures.
- Assist the program director and associate program director in meeting accreditation requirements, educational programming, and support of residents.
- Collaborate with Human Resources Department and Marketing and Communications Department to create, design, produce, and distribute recruitment materials, such as brochures, pamphlets, letters, etc.
- Develop the recruitment timeline, applicant interview dates, and interim and final selection committee meeting dates.
- Serves as first point of contact for the program and handles incoming phone calls, faxes, e-mails, and letters for recruitment and general program purposes.
- Notify applicants selected for interviews, schedule interviews, assist applicants with travel and lodging arrangements. Notify rejected applicants.
- Develop master academic year schedule, resident on- and off-service rotation schedules, call schedules, vacation and leave schedules, educational conference and lecture schedules, and administrative meetings.
- Support activities related to resident performance evaluation by faculty, resident evaluation of faculty, resident evaluation of specific rotations and overall curriculum, and faculty evaluation of the program.
- Maintain all documents and certificates related to residency application and selection, performance evaluations, medical and controlled substance licenses, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in related field.
- C-TAGME Certification, a plus.
- Three (3) years related experience; related experience with an FQHC or nonprofit, a plus.
- General knowledge of the educational, academic, and other qualifications required of potential applicants to be eligible for the residency program.
- Working knowledge of web-based residency application systems
- Possess skills in leadership and personnel management
