Summary
Responsible for production planning activities including scheduling all production related activities, managing the production schedule and meeting supplies/materials, quality, safety, environmental, and cost requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the forecasting, planning, scheduling, and workflow process. Works daily with Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Sales to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
- Develops and maintains a dynamic 12 month rolling Master Production Plan for assigned products, considering supplier lead times, production capacity and sales forecasts.
- Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of equipment: Develops schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Confers with production supervision to determine status of production orders and updates the schedule accordingly. Facilitates a monthly production meeting to communicate production status and shortages.
- Maintains inventory levels according to manufacturing capacity and capability. Participates in inventory control and adjustments.
- Works with Sales and Engineering to plan the production of sample and prototype parts.
- Creates and maintains any needed reports.
- Work with sales and Buyer on forecasting whole good configurations, quantities and maintaining the forecast module. Schedules orders and ensure optimal production levels.
- Responsible for creating all shop work orders including whole goods and parts sales. Assist Production Management in directing and managing assembly operations for production priorities and ensure they are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain planning bills of material and forecast module in business system.
- Follows and assists with enforcement of safety policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Basic understanding of manufacturing planning principles, theories, and concepts.
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Familiar with lean manufacturing and lean material flow concepts.
- Knowledge of production tools and equipment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to work independently to deliver consistent results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education and/or Experience
AA degree in business, engineering or related field and minimum of 3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Strong in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; CRM.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
