Job Description
Role Summary:
The Production Planner is responsible for planning orders and driving materials (raw materials, components, and assemblies) to meet internal and external customer delivery dates. This role will be responsible for production floor material control to ensure production has the right parts at the right time. This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, status reporting and escalation. This role will require collaboration with production, planning, purchasing, engineering, and management.
Job Responsibilities:
· Release work orders to production based on build plans.
· Analyzing supply and demand for internal and external customers. Release orders accordingly to fulfill demand.
· Maintaining WIP and ensuring work orders are closed when completed.
· Track, report, and facilitate on-time material availability and delivery to production and customers.
· Collaborate with purchasing to ensure orders are placed on time to fulfill supply and demand.
· Request updates from suppliers through the purchasing team.
· Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, materials, product support, product marketing, management as required.
· New product planning activities, working closely with engineering.
· Organize material on the production floor (work orders, material storage, assembly, and test areas).
· Work with production to uncover material shortages and push for prompt resolution.
· Return material to stock (RTS) during and after shipments from work orders.
· Review and maintain safety stock levels.
· Research transactions in Oracle Cloud to find discrepancies and correct them.
· Perform other ERP-related tasks and projects as required or assigned by management.
· Expedite material through purchasing and the warehouse teams.

Preferred education and skills:
· AA of BS degree with 2 years progressive experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, including assembly, product integration and test, semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing, preferably vertical furnaces.
· APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
· 5S, Lean Manufacturing, ISO-9001 and ISO-14001.
