2nd shift 4:15pm to 2:45am 4X10
3rd shift 8:30pm to 7:00am 4X10
JOB PURPOSE: Collaborate with Production Supervisor as a Lead by overseeing the assignments, productivity, and daily scheduling of production employees; ensure compliance of company policies, procedures, and practices; support company safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS:
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety polices.
- Review/use safety equipment required for each job.
- Multi-task and work with a sense of urgency to ensure operating schedules are met.
- Establish schedules and priorities; maintain operating schedules to ensure goals are met.
- Review production schedule, organize workers and materials for assigned orders.
- Inspect production work, documentation, ensure work order conformance. Lead team in a manner to meet quality, production, and customer delivery expectations.
- Ensure procedures and policies are followed.
- Maintain daily records and reports.
- Collaborate with different departments in a team effort to further company goals concerning safety, quality, and productivity. Work well with others.
- Responsible for assisting/conducting training of new employees and cross training of other employees.
- Ensure areas and equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized. Store equipment neatly and organized in proper locations.
- Provide workers with feedback, enforce polices.
- Start machine and operate cycle; learn to recognize and solve minor malfunctions of the machine; ensure equipment is being properly maintained.
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
- Collect unused raw materials for reconciliation and dispose of waste materials after end of month counting.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

- Must be able to work under pressure and occasional stressful conditions.

- Must be able to work in an environment with loud noises, heat, cold and strong odors.
- Perform receptive key stokes to compile and prepare documents, reports, forms, and correspondence.
- Must be able to stand/walk for 10 hours.
- Some heavy lifting required, able to lift 35 lbs.
- Push/Pull; use both hands to package product, repetitive work.
- Ability to perform repetitive manual material handling without restriction, requiring (but not limited to) the following physical abilities:
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Communication skills: Must be able to read and write in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, peers, and subordinate.
- Must have the ability to comprehend written instructions and numbering.
- Must be able to calculate basic arithmetic, (i.e., add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Computer skills: Knowledge of Microsoft word processing, Excel, & e-mail program.
- Knowledge in machinery skills: Ability to operate automated machines and equipment with speed and accuracy.
- Must have good organizational and observation skills.
- Safety: Working knowledge of safety rules, regulations, & training,
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) – three (3) years of previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in leadership/supervisor role preferred.
- Attendance: Must be punctual and reliable.
