- Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Responsibilities
- Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, performs root-cause analysis, develops recommendations or demonstrates good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.
- Assists in the gathering of data and information and supports the tracking and reporting of these data points against various quality related performance metrics.
- Provides tangible feedback and proposes changes to improve product quality and minimize risk of failures.
- Reviews reports, test data, and process results for assigned components and subsystems to identify trends and issues.
- Conducts meetings and communicates product and process issue analysis and propose recommendations to product stakeholders.
- Collaborates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product or process to reduce defects and improve quality and lower costs.
- Provides mentoring and guidance to less-experienced staff members
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in Personal Systems (PCs), or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
Knowledge & Skills
Extensive experience with using engineering tools and software packages to test, design, and evaluate products and processes.
Excellent analytical, statistics, and problem-solving skills.
Conducting reviews of material specifications, hardware and electrical component design and processes, and industry quality standards and methodologies.
Evaluating forms of empirical and root-cause analysis, modeling, testing methodologies, and quality standards to validate product designs, specifications, and processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
Ability to effectively communicate quality architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $79150.00 - $121900.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
