JOB DESCRIPTION - ENTRY LEVEL POSITION

TITLE: Production Assembler/Shipping Clerk

REPORTS TO: Shipping Manager & Executive Vice President

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs a variety of duties to support shipping department to assure on-time and accurate shipments.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Work with others in manufacturing department to assure transactional accuracy.
• Light hardware assembly of key tags, name badges, coaster, frames etc.
• Check each piece for quality before it is wrapped.
• Wrap pieces in foam strips and keep an accurate count of the number of pieces in each wrap and box.
• On each box, write the item code of the product, quantity, and weight.
• Ensure the paperwork for each order is accurately filled out and inspected by the supervisor upon completion of the order.
• Every employee is required to fill out a production sheet to keep track of their production and clock in/out time for the day.
• The daily goal is $2400 of product per Shipping Clerk.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Assist with light cleaning duties of the shipping area as assigned by Shipping Manager (i.e., trash disposal)
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to work safely in manufacturing environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50lbs with proper body mechanics
• Ability to accurately read order forms
• Ability to accurately and neatly write on order forms and daily sheets

This is a full-time position with a start of $18.00 per hour plus production incentives.

Shift is 7am – 3:30pm M-F

$1,000 signing bonus: In order for an employee to be eligible for the signing bonus, the employee must have averaged 38 regular hours per week for those 1,040 hours worked. It is expected that this will take a regular fulltime employee approximately 6 months to complete, though this may vary by individual employee. Once eligible, the signing bonus will be issued to the employee during the subsequent regular pay period after the requirements are met.
