Responsibilities:
- Work from drawings or specifications. Inspects and tests completed units.
- Perform all tasks conducted by the team and rotate through one or all tasks in the production process within individual departments.
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
- Assemble parts to build more complex units.
- Debur and smooth edges to complete a quality product.
- Package finished products.
- Keep records of production quantities and time.
- Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts.
- Perform quality checks on products and parts.
- Sweep and otherwise clean work areas.
- Maintain good safety habits and practices.
- Uses power drivers, drills, cutter, torque wrenches, and other power tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math, including understanding fractions.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to come to work regularly.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Enthusiasm and desire to do a good job.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail and quality is essential.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions.
- Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
This position is currently part of a collective bargaining unit certified by the National Labor Relations Board.
