For your team, You will:
- Communicate key themes and plans to the entire team.
- Share information discussed in lead huddles with team members.
- Monitor and know the current flow rate in the cabinet fabrication shop.
- Ensure that team members understand the daily goals and what is required to achieve them.
- Visualize the workflow in the area for all team members.
- Define and share the minimum required team composition to achieve the current flow rate.
- Develop a cell-based approach to continually improve the flow of work in the area.
- Set training goals for team members, actively engage in their professional development.
- Coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities and provide opportunities for team members to evolve into leadership roles.
- Cultivate a second lead (number 2 lead) within the team.
- Fully orient and onboard new employees to ensure a smooth integration into the team and its processes.
For your Zone, You will:
- Collaborate with a team with diverse manufacturing backgrounds, from aerospace to medical machining.
- Assemble high-end woodwork, furniture, and cabinetry components according to design specifications.
- Use basic hand tools and power tools to ensure precise and accurate assembly.
- Engage in the fabrication process, contributing to the creation of quality products.
- Contribute handcrafted finishing touches to elevate the overall quality of the work.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and design specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 – 3 years experience leading a team in production or manufacturing
- 3 – 5 years of experience in the building trades.
- Experience with basic hand and power tools
- Be able to lift 25 lb parts.
- Regular hours are 7:30am-4:00pm at our facility in Seattle, WA
Equivalent experience in trade/manufacturing work acceptable.
