Seeking an analytical, strategic thinker with great interpersonal skills as a Procurement Specialist!  This is a new position to add to a growing team!  This individual will assist in the buying process for a given set of goods and owns the day-to-day management of vendors and acts as the point of contact between the vendors and INX across multiple manufacturing sites and technical labs. As a Procurement Specialist, you are responsible for:  

• Updating SAP material master data for completeness and integrity on behalf of the INX Team as requested
• Collaborating with suppliers to verify lead times, routes, and deliveries of materials, addressing all concerns in a timely manner
• Assisting in activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services on terms that are in the organization's best interest
• Aiding in the tracking and compilation of vendor score carding, including, but not limited to, monitoring the quality, contract standings and condition of goods being purchased and rebate tracking
• Recommending improvements to reduce cost and support fiscal proactivity within the department while achieving corporate and site-specific goals. Leading and/or participating on continuous improvement teams as required
• Maintaining alertness to global supplier conditions, and pricing homogenization across INX to determine present and future material supply cost, availability and risk
• Supporting all INX facilities by maintaining steady communication with material vendors to best coordinate flow and use of materials between departments and manufacturing sites
• Supporting Procurement, Planning, Production, R&D, Legal, and Quality as needed

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline or equivalent  on-the-job working experience
• Have 2+ years of procurement experience in a production environment
• Demonstrate experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes
• Possess a successful track record of utilizing problem-solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrate an ability to manage conflict
• Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Possess strong planning and negotiation skills

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

• Have experience using SAP and Power BI
