Procurement Specialist

Advantage Resourcing is coordinating the direct hire of a Procurement Specialist for a company located in Bensenville, Illinois. This trusted corporation is continuing to lead the supply industry for transit and rail equipment for transportation vehicles such as buses, trains, automobiles, and industrial equipment since 1953. Occasional domestic travel will be vital to visit vendors, suppliers, and factory locations. We are eagerly searching to hire someone for this unique career who can broaden customer relationships with excellent interpersonal communication skills, multitask in high stress situations, and prioritize their time efficiently. Expected work hours for this Procurement Specialist are 8:30 AM - 5 PM. • Bachelor’s degree (specifically in procurement or engineering)

• 3 years of demonstrated ability in purchasing/procurement and experience in the transportation industry

• High level knowledge of business (accounting, trading, logistics, budgeting)

Responsibilities of this position include occasionally attending tele-conferences outside of normal work hours, display digital proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, mediate terms and delivery dates with suppliers, and supervise inventory to assure production continues efficiently in the warehouse. Other daily job duties also include using problem solving skills to devise sourcing strategies for procurement of goods, initiate positive, business partnerships, perform quality inspection checks on delivered items, and prioritize the organization of the warehouse and shipment process.
