Opening with our client for a Chemical Procurement Specialist who will function as an IHC (InmunoHistoChemistry) Sourcing Specialist. Looking for a skilled IHC Sourcing Specialist to create and manage strategic supplier partnerships focused on driving enterprise value through innovation, best cost practices, and competitive advantages. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing strategic sourcing plans regionally, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. This role plays a critical role in enhancing our supply chain efficiency and delivering value to customers, suppliers, and patients.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for Immunohistochemistry (IHC) products, materials, and services, with a focus on driving innovation, cost savings, and competitive advantages.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers that align with organizational objectives and quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current and future sourcing needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to optimize the supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities for innovation within the IHC sourcing landscape.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sourcing processes, streamline workflows, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting related to sourcing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred; Immunology degree considered a bonus.
- Entry level to 2 to 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Immunohistochemistry (IHC) products and processes.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology, preferred.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
