Planning Assistant

The Planning Assistantwill be based out of Fort Edward, New York (1 Eddy Street, 12828). The Planning Assistant is responsible for planning, creating work orders and scheduling FE7 and rewinder production. Additionally, will be responsible for inventory accuracy of paper inventories, ordering, communicating and or adjusting St. John, White Mountain, St. Croix and Toronto papermill schedules. As well, will be responsible for building releases and identifying and communicating transportation and quality issues with carriers and internal customers and responsible for building DUI shuttle plan. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Requirements
- 1-2 year’s warehousing and inventory experience preferred.
- High School diploma required. Associate’s degree or other related coursework or certification preferred.
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
- Run MPS and MPR reports to consolidate supply/demand and give messages.
- Run inventory on hand by location report and then count raw materials on mats.
- Review late loads and follow up with carriers.
- Supply and Demand to audit PO receipts and make corrections.
- Look at B & O messages in BP 60 & 62 (paper).
- Take paper ST’s and build them into loads for DU shuttles.
- Complete FE7 Inventory Projection Report.
- Create work orders and schedule FE7 and Rewinder.
- Audit/manage cycle counts for parent rolls and raw materials.
- Correct paper invoice issues.
- Build releases for any St. Johns, White Mountain, St Croix, and Dunn production.
- Create three-month paper projection for rewinder.
- Close out previous month’s OB’s and update current month’s OB’s.
- Manage paper rejection process.
- Research and correct any paper inventory adjustments.
- Special projects as directed.
- Track and manage trial paper and communicating issues to all customers.
- Partner with quality on all paper related issues.
