Job Summary:
Disney Entertainment Networks is responsible for the Programming Strategy, Content Planning and Business Operations of Disney’s linear entertainment networks (ABC & ABC News, Nat Geo branded nets, FX branded nets, Freeform & Disney branded nets), related non-linear platforms (TVE/VOD), Disney Branded networks YouTube Channels, and all original content migration to Disney+ and Hulu.
The Executive Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Programming Strategy and Content Planning function including a group of approximately 40 individuals, across three major U.S. cities. This role reports to and provides executive administrative support to the SVP, Programming. The role also supports the administrative needs of both the VP of Programming for Nat Geo/FX and the VP of Business Operations. All 3 executives are based in New York.
Responsibilitie
- Manage the administrative needs of 3 executives, including high-volume schedule coordination.
- Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents and attending to logistics of meetings (virtual and in-person).
- Answer and respond to emails, phone calls, communicate messages and information to the executives in a timely manner.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries.
- Process expense reports in a timely manner.
- Facilitate communication between high-level internal and external parties.
- Coordinate travel and events on behalf of executes and manage the departmental budget/expense processing.
- Assist with keynote and PowerPoint presentations, including updating decks, tracking down assets from team members, and deck filing in share drive.
- Facilitate broader team communication and events as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years of proven Executive Assistant/coordinator skills working in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about Entertainment.
- Must possess strong organizational skills (i.e. budgeting time and prioritizing workload, accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, ability to implement systematic processes and organize information flow).
- Excellent computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Keynote & PowerPoint), and ability to learn new software like Concur, SAP, PIX, Box.
- Ability to work with the highest degree of confidentiality – exercising discretion, judgment and diplomacy elevating any team challenges to Senior Vice President to resolve.
- Event planning experience.
- Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly.
- Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Ability to anticipate needs, be proactive, resourceful, and flexible.
- Ability to work on many projects simultaneously.

- Ability to be flexible with work schedule to accommodate some overtime if needed.
- Experience in a highly matrix organization would be a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven Executive Assistant/coordinator skills working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position in New York, New York is $59,100 to $81,100 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
